Vanguard Alta Pro 263AP Aluminum-Alloy Tripod Kit with PH-32 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head

The Alta Pro 263AP Aluminum-Alloy Tripod Kit from Vanguard is a robust and versatile support system, capable of supporting up to 11.0 lb. When folded, it measures 28.5 inches and includes a PH-32 3-Way Pan-and-Tilt Head with a QS-51 Quick Release Plate. The tripod features three-section legs with independent spread and flip locks for quick and easy setup. The legs can be adjusted to provide a minimum height of 57.6 inches and a maximum height of 70.0 inches when the center column is fully extended. Foam covers on each leg offer a secure and comfortable grip, while the rubber feet, each equipped with a twist-out metal spike, enhance stability on various surfaces, including soft and uneven ground.

The QS-51 Quick Release Plate, compatible with 1/4″-20 mounts, attaches cameras or accessories to the tripod’s pan-and-tilt head via a quick release cam lock. The plate features a rubberized, non-slip platform and three built-in bubble levels to accommodate both portrait and landscape orientations.

The PH-32 3-Way Pan-and-Tilt Head allows for 360° rotation and tilts from -60° backward to 90° forward, as well as offering a sideways tilt of +90°/-30° for portrait orientation. Each movement operates independently and can be securely locked into place.

For added versatility, the center column is connected to the tripod by a fulcrum, enabling a 90° tilt upwards or downwards, which can be locked into place. The center column assembly also allows for 360° of independent rotation. This flexibility allows the center column to be used as an extendable cross arm or a miniature camera boom, ideal for raising the camera towards elevated subjects or over scenes. Additionally, a camera positioned at the end of the center column can extend beyond the tripod’s legs, making it particularly useful for macro photography or copy stand work. For ground-level shots, the center column can achieve low angles while allowing the user to remain comfortably positioned behind the camera.
